Senior Finance Manager, Delivery Experience
Description The Delivery Experience (DEX) Finance seeks a Senior Finance Manager to provide finance leadership for a new speed business in the US. In this role, you will be a core part of a small and fast growing team that is in charge of end to end Financials for a new business launch. To build this rapidly growing business, the successful candidate must be passionate about enabling management to make breakthrough decisions through financial analyses, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. You must have solid financial knowledge and business acumen while thinking strategically and dealing with ambiguity, constantly looking for insights from the numbers and communicating findings in a clear and concise manner. This role requires extensive partnership with various business, operations, transportation, and finance teams to identify areas of opportunities and generate improvements in program economics. Who is comfortable with the ambiguity and complexity of optimizing for business metrics across multiple and sometimes conflicting dimensions. Key job responsibilities - Serve as the financial leader for World Wide Operations Shipping Revenue business - Provide strategic guidance and decision support in this rapidly evolving space with competitive pressure - *Influence cross-functionally to make sound business decisions, analyze opportunities, identify issues, and solve challenges - Understand key business drivers to constantly look for insights from the data and push for improvement in economics - Communicate key inputs and findings in a crisp manner to drive decision-making - Drive cross-functional planning and forecasting processes About the team The vision of the Delivery Experience (DEX) team is to make Amazon every customer’s most-loved shopping destination by building and enabling intuitive delivery experiences that improve customers’ lives by making it easy to control when, where, and how they receive Earth’s largest selection. Basic Qualifications - BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) - 10+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 8+ years of finance experience - 5+ years of direct management experience Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience - 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience - 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
