A Senior Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic financial advisor, bridging between finance and other business units to drive financial performance and achieve organizational goals.
The Cluster Senior Finance Business partner plays a key role in driving financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the cluster, providing strategic insights to support business decision-making. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and enhancing financial models to improve forecasting accuracy and business outcomes for the Central European Cluster, based out of Viernheim.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support strategic business objectives
Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide variance analysis with actionable insights
Provide insights on actual performance vs forecast and key drivers for the cluster
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario planning and decision-making
Close partnership with the commercial team to analyze the performance and generate insights
Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and financial presentations for leadership team
Collaborate with business unit to align financial forecasts with operational strategies
Conduct profitability analysis, cost control assessments, and return on investment (ROI) evaluations
Support investment and business case analysis, including risk assessments and recommendations
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and reporting requirements
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting, reporting, and data accuracy
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis
Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and strategic planning
Work closely with Cluster CEO and HR Business partner on critical strategic initiatives for the cluster
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or related field
More than 10 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related field
Strong experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
Experience in business partnering and working closely with senior stakeholders
Previous experience in a corporate FP&A function or strategic finance role
Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data
Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, financial planning software, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to large audience
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and solid skills in German language
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results
Strong business acumen and ability to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions, strong influencing skills and drive for results
