Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Role
The GM International team is successfully executing on an incredible turnaround plan. By restructuring the business for profitability and investing in new products and market opportunities, the region is well positioned for sustainable growth into the future.
The GMI FP&A short-term team supports the GM International region with EBIT consolidation and analytics for monthly operating reviews, quarterly earnings, and ad-hoc special studies. Our team is looking for an experienced analyst that is passionate about GM’s global business and that wants to support our diverse markets and drive improved financial insights and results.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Consolidate monthly finance submissions from GMI business units and engage with regional partners to understand drivers of performance and changes to outlook
Manage deliverables to corporate FP&A teams including EBIT bridges and EBIT-to-FCF walk
Develop solid relationships with corporate FP&A, CFO staff/regional partners, and Controllership to ensure strong, consistent communication across teams; facilitate knowledge sharing as needed
Develop material for monthly operating reviews at SLT level
Support IR’s earnings preparation by compiling quarterly earnings materials and crafting key external messaging
Develop optimal vehicle allocation based on country level variable profit data and manage regional vehicle swap process
Review vehicle line profitability by market, understanding trends, providing insights to senior leadership, and helping regional partners with system challenges
Develop strategic study topics to drive meaningful impact within GMI and support initiatives from Regional CFO & President of Global Markets

Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
Solid foundational knowledge of EBIT finance principles
3 years experience in Finance, Accounting, or related
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
GMI and/or FP&A Experience
Knowledge of GM’s product/platform portfolio
Technical Analysis – Ability to perform detailed analysis and consolidation with Hyperion system data (actuals variances, forecast data, EBIT bridges, etc.)
Self-Starter Mindset – Works independently to solve challenges, innovate on reporting styles, and provide new insights for leadership to drive business success
Leadership Communication & Storytelling – Comfortable presenting to senior leadership & can distil complicated regional inputs into key messages for operating forums
Strategic/Big Picture Orientation – Ability to develop intuition on key items impacting region
