Job DescriptionAbout the team: We are looking for a new Senior Field Service Technician at our location in Miramar, FL to provide excellent customer service while performing in-shop or in-field installation, diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, and testing of ZF Marine products.
What you can look forward to as a Senior Field Service Technician:
Perform OE modifications, service repairs, unit overhauls, inspections, troubleshooting, and testing.
Collaborate with ZF Marine staff to address customer needs, resolving and communicating service and delivery issues promptly.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, tools, and equipment.
Operate company vehicles and equipment safely; report maintenance needs as required.
Follow safe work practices using proper tools, including precision measuring instruments.
Manage inventory by packing, receiving, storing, and controlling tools, parts, and equipment.
Conduct warranty investigations and prepare necessary reports; assist with service order completion and technician reporting.
Support facility maintenance, perform dock testing, sea trials, and up to 25% overnight domestic/international travel for onboard repairs.
Your profile as a Senior Field Service Technician:
High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
3+ years mechanical repair experience in automotive, truck, engine, construction, or off-highway equipment.
Basic marine product knowledge and industry experience.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Basic electrical/electronic knowledge with ability to use test equipment.
Valid driver’s license required.
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate with Microsoft applications; able to meet Port security, Passport, and TWIC requirements; up to 25% domestic/international travel may be needed.
