Position Overview
 

As a Senior. Field Analytics Analyst, you play a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence of the field sales team by delivering actionable insights and performance reporting that support Insulet’s growth strategy. This position is responsible for the development and reporting of key performance indicators that inform data-driven decisions across a variety of field analytics focus areas. These focus areas include analyzing sales performance and market trends, generating and delivering actionable reports, addressing analytical questions for the field, and optimizing territory performance.

Through continuous improvement, strong analytical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll be a critical enabler of Insulet’s commercial success, identifying opportunities and recommending improvements that align with company goals.

Responsibilities

Deliver Field-Focused Analytics

Analyze sales performance and market trends across assigned territories, districts, and regions to identify growth opportunities and gapsConduct ad-hoc analysis and answer data-related questions from the field, collaborating with operations and analytics teams as neededDesign and maintain dashboards and reports that provide timely, actionable insights to field teams

Develop and Report Commercial KPIs

Understands company strategy, market opportunities, and corporate strategic imperatives.Drives linkage of corporate strategy to commercial objectives through KPIs and related insights.Builds and maintains strong rapport with commercial business partners in sales, marketing, market access, and customer care to develop KPIs in support of their respective initiatives to ensure ongoing operational needs are metServe as a business partner to commercial stakeholders to define KPIs that reflect strategic objectives and field executionTrack, visualize, and communicate KPI performance through dashboards and executive-level presentations, using compelling, data-driven storytellingEnsure consistent alignment of metrics with commercial priorities and company strategy

Drive Strategic Insights and Recommendations

Interpret field and customer data to identify high-impact opportunities and inefficiencies across geographies and segmentsGenerate insights that support strategic decisions related to segmentation, targeting, coverage models, and resource allocationProactively “connects the dots” across commercial teams & IT to drive alignment of strategy and tactics as well as inform prioritization decisions.Conduct analysis and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for sales, marketing, and commercial leadership

Support Continuous Improvement

Promote data-driven decision-making through automation, self-service analytics tools, and field team trainingDrives continuous improvement, automation, and self-service of insights consumption for the commercial team with tools (e.g salesforce.com), reporting and training.Contribute to building scalable processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Spotfire) that empower field teams to access insights independentlyDrive standardization of KPIs and contribute to data governanceChampion data quality, consistency, and efficiency in analytics reporting

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, marketing, economics, IT, or related field7+ years of experience working in commercial analytical roles of increasing responsibility, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or commercial operationsExperience driving commercial/sales process improvementExperience working with Salesforce.com and analytical tools, with advanced Excel skills (including VBA); preferred experience with Salesforce dashboards, reports, Lightning interface, workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, Visual Flow, and security configurations

Skills and Competencies

Proficient in data storage, reporting, and analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Salesforce) to analyze data and deliver insights that drive strategic decisionsDemonstrated ability to develop and communicate KPIs, insights and related recommendationsProven ability to provide business analysis and system development/configuration deliverables related to process improvementProactive problem-solver who anticipates execution issues in the field and collaborates cross-functionally to resolve themDemonstrated ability to support data-driven decision-making through structured analysis and modelingEffective cross-functional collaborator, working closely with sales leaders, operations teams, and data strategy groupsFlexible and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentStrong communication and visualization skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendationsFamiliarity with Spotfire, and basic coding skills preferred.
