Responsible for selling and servicing hotel services to group business clients. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food, Beverage and Meeting Room Rental. Must be able to effectively sell the services of the hotel to gain commitment from the customer and work well with all departments in the hotel to ensure that services are delivered as communicated to the client. Provides guidance to Event Managers and Trainees. Handles key accounts for the hotel thus carrying the highest quota in the department.
+ Manage all phases of event planning after business is booked by the Sales team, from pre-event coordination to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life with precision and professionalism.
+ Coordinate with internal teams including Banquets, Culinary, AV, Rooms Division, and Sales to ensure seamless event execution.
+ Lead pre-convention meetings, site inspections, and post-event evaluations with clients and department heads.
+ Develop detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and event timelines.
+ Monitor event budgets and billing accuracy; review final invoices for approval.
+ Mentor and train junior Event Planning Managers and Coordinators; serve as acting leader in the absence of the Director of Events.
+ Identify upselling opportunities and support revenue-generating initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards and local safety/health regulations.
This position has a salary range from $70,600-106,000.

**Qualifications:**
· Minimum 3 years of progressive event planning experience in a full-service hotel or conference center environment.
· Strong background in handling large-scale and complex events (corporate, social, and convention).
· Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel event systems (e.g., Envision, Delphi, or comparable software).
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
· CMP certification a plus.
