Senior Event Manager, Event Lead, Amazon Seller Events

Amazon Seller Events is seeking a Senior Event Manager to lead our portfolio of high-impact seller conferences, including our flagship event, Amazon Accelerate, and growing portfolio of events. As Senior Event Manager reporting to the Head of Events, you'll be the driving force behind seamless event execution, leading cross-functional teams to deliver experiences that exceed expectations. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams, translate event vision into engaging experiences, and deliver flawless operational execution. Key job responsibilities * Lead comprehensive event planning through execution. Own end-to-end program management for assigned events. * Contribute to the identification of program goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). * Facilitate recurring planning meetings with the events team, internal stakeholders, and external partners. * Drive comprehensive project timeline, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of deliverables. * Develop and manage event budgets with P&L responsibility. * Create scalable processes and best practices for event delivery. * Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic alignment. * Deliver plans, updates, and results to leadership. * Implement risk management and contingency plans. * Lead post-event analysis through a comprehensive debrief process. * Mentor workstream leads and build trusted relationships across all organizational levels. * Travel up to 20% of the time. A day in the life You will lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute complex, high-profile events; analyze data to inform strategy; and, communicate results to senior leadership. You'll balance planning with tactical execution while maintaining focus on customer experience and business outcomes. About the team The Amazon Seller Events team produces seller-focused events to build trust, loyalty, and satisfaction among Amazon's sellers. Our events foster two-way communication, provide access to experts, and deliver impactful experiences with product announcements, success stories, and actionable content to educate and empower Amazon sellers. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - 7+ years of event management experience - Proven success managing multiple large-scale corporate events simultaneously. - Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations - Strong stakeholder management skills - Excellence in project management and timeline development - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally - Navigate ambiguity with clear decision-making while maintaining program momentum - Experience working with event and project management tools such as Asana, Airtable, Cvent Preferred Qualifications - Experience with global event portfolio management. - Proven track record of increasing responsible and scope with the expansion of an event portfolio. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
