Position: Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager

Job Description:

Forward Air/Omni Logistics is seeking a Sr. Ethics & Compliance Manager for the Americas. In this role, you will oversee the company's Ethics & Compliance program across North America and Latin America, acting as a key advisor on corporate ethics, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. Based in Dallas, TX, and reporting to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, you will ensure the implementation of global compliance initiatives while supporting business objectives and navigating complex regulations.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Act as primary advisor on regional E&C issues, including anti-corruption, sanctions, competition law, data protection, conflicts of interest, third-party management, and government interactions. Promote a proactive compliance culture, support "Speak Up" initiatives, and foster ethical behavior among regional leaders and employees. Collaborate with global compliance leadership to align and tailor global E&C strategies and policies to regional laws, practices, and risks. Manage regional third-party compliance, ensuring robust due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and proper contractual safeguards to mitigate corruption, sanctions, and compliance risks. Conduct compliance risk assessments, particularly addressing high-risk areas; monitor controls and implement mitigation plans. Track regulatory developments impacting the business, proactively advise regional leadership, and interface with regulatory authorities as required. Drive continuous advancement of the regional E&C program by integrating best practices, adopting new tools, and proactively addressing emerging compliance risks. Ensure implementation of global compliance initiatives in the Americas and help the company navigate compliance obligations while supporting business objectives. Interpret complex laws and regulations and provide guidance to the business. Report to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and act as a key advisor to business units in the Americas.

 

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree strongly preferred (admission to a state bar is a plus). Minimum 10 years of experience managing ethics and compliance programs, particularly within the Americas. Expertise in anti-bribery (FCPA and local equivalents), sanctions, AML, fraud prevention, data privacy, and third-party compliance. Direct experience with Latin American markets, including familiarity with regional business practices and regulatory environments, is highly preferred. Proven track record in conducting compliance risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans. Experience in promoting a proactive compliance culture and supporting "Speak Up" initiatives.
