The Senior Estimator will be responsible for performing FEL 1, 2 and 3 estimates, supporting and developing EPC and bid check estimates for pipeline facility projects (emphasis on renewable gas plants and compressor stations). This position will develop accurate bottoms up estimates in a credible and professional manner while minimizing risk to the company.

Develop factored and bottoms up FEL 1, 2 and 3 (conceptual, feasibility and budget authorization) estimates for pipeline facility projects, and in particular renewable gas plants and compressor stations.Lead estimating strategy and implementation efforts.Develop estimate schedules to manage workload and ensure timely completion of estimatesReview RFP and engineering documents for gaps and overlaps in scope of work.Responsible for detail documentation of quantity take offs and constructability analysisResponsible for the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions.Review project summary schedules for validity.Support development of risk registers.Responsible for compliance with estimating methodology ensuring quality estimates are produced.Lead project team review for estimating quantities and scope of project.Support subcontractor pre-qualification, solicitation and bid reviews.Support review and verification of subcontractor bid packages before being transmitted for quotes.Responsible for reviewing and incorporating specialty and standard equipment and material pricing.Estimate general conditions, indirect costs and review with project management team.Responsible for the review of final estimate and presentation to project management.Present the estimate to internal and external clients.Make recommendations as to contingency and escalation.Provide man hour estimate for required estimating effort and review with Section Manager.Review and validate value engineering items, alternates, and options.Responsible for updating cost history and data base management.Train and mentor staff.All other duties as assigned.
