Job Description & Summary
We are seeking an experienced ESG specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, as well as expertise in risk management methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement ESG reporting, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations
Implementing CSRD and ESRS reporting practices
Coordinate the collection, analysis, and verification of ESG data from various internal and external sources
Prepare comprehensive ESG reports, disclosures, and presentations for internal stakeholders, investors, donors, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sustainability, legal, consulting to integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and decision-making processes
Monitor emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve reporting processes and risk management frameworks
Serve as a subject matter expert on ESG matters, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
Degree in finance, sustainability, environmental science, business administration, or related field
Proven experience in ESG reporting, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility (CSR), preferably within a corporate or financial services environment
Understanding of ESG frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
Proficiency in data analysis
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
Professional certifications and memberships in relevant industry associations are a plus.
