Senior Equipment Technician

Position Summary: 
Trinity Heads, Inc. is searching for a Senior Equipment Technician in our Longview, Texas Facility. This position will support the daily maintenance functions, at a senior level, and will primarily perform, but not be limited to, troubleshooting and repairing machines and equipment, automation controls, parts and material requisitioning, estimating jobs, and any other duties as assigned by the maintenance management team.

This position will also mentor and train less skilled technicians, provide advanced troubleshooting assistance when and where needed, and effectively communicate with the site management team to promote excellent customer service. This position will also be involved in testing new equipment and troubleshoot operation for optimal efficiency. Must be fluent in computers and technology to maintain documentation within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 

Qualifications:

Performs complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and hydraulics.                                                                                    Troubleshoots electrical problems up to 480v, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components.                                                                                      Performs preventive maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.                     Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints , and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.                                                                                                       Lays out, builds, tests trouble shoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.                                                                                                        May test new equipment, trouble shoot operation, make minor adjustments to equipment.     Maintains and completes all required records.                                                                                          Follows all safety rules and practices.                                                                                                           May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.  

Desired knowledge and experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent     Minimum 2-4 years of related experience; hydraulics or furnace specialty experience a plus   Ability to ready equipment drawing, and electrical & hydraulics schematics           May require working above ground (15 ft. or more)              Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects, comfortable with heights.  May require working in narrow or confined workspaces for extended periods of time.
