We're looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist who is passionate about sustainability, compliance, and driving real impact. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day environmental operations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations—all while partnering with teams across the plant to cultivate a strong environmental culture.

Responsibilities Partner with cross-functional departments to maintain and improve environmental performanceCollaborate with Health & Safety to build a strong EHS cultureOversee and submit yearly environmental permits (TCEQ, SWPPP, SPCC)Coordinate ISO 14001 & 50001 certification effortsFacilitate environmental training programs for staffLead the development and execution of environmental strategies and risk mitigation projectsConduct environmental assessments and auditsWork closely with Navistar’s Corporate Environmental Team on North America-wide initiativesEnsure regulatory compliance and internal policy adherenceSet and manage environmental performance goals for the facilityMonitor and report key environmental metrics regularlySupport Manufacturing 4.0 through continuous improvement initiativesExecute and monitor the facility’s Waste Management PlanServe as a liaison with local government organizations Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 2 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing facility

Master’s degree

OR

At least 4 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing facility Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
