The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) organization is seeking a Senior Engineering Technical Specialist to join the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Chief Engineering Team in Huntsville, AL. IAMD Chief Engineer(s) are the technical representative to the customer and are responsible for the safety and technical excellence of the program.
Boeing has a multi-year contract to develop, test, and manufacture the PAC-3 RADAR seeker, recently named “the coolest thing made in Alabama for 2025”. This program encompasses concurrent design, test and manufacturing as new upgrades to this complex electro-mechanical assembly are incorporated into production. This long-term program is rapidly growing in Huntsville, Alabama, due to design updates, production growth, and Boeing facilities improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development, documentation, implementation and consultation of the application of, and compliance with, requirements for the use of engineering tools, processes and standards
Guides training and provides subject matter expertise in the utilization of processes, tools and integration of engineering designs
Ensures regulatory requirements are met
Leads the validation of user access roles and the production of moderately complex tip sheets
Leads the collection, analysis and validation of engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs
Supports Engineering On Time Release process efforts to include program Configuration Control Boards
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
7+ years of experience in a technical integration related role
Ability to utilize technological tools (e.g., PC's, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads, responsibilities, problem identifications and resolutions
Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware (e.g., personal computers, software, printers, storage media) and standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, spreadsheets/databases)
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Using a variety of media, ability to clearly convey information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
Ability to identify and create qualitative or quantitative measures of success and failure
Ability to select the key parameters and develop standards to monitor progress, provide updates of performance, and plot trends over time
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Experience in supporting full rate production program(s)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
