Caterpillar’s Resource Industries Electrification Solutions (RIES) team is developing key technologies to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world! Our products will help shape the future of electrified mine sites around the world. As a Team Lead for Stationary Energy Transfer (SET) and Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET), you can be a part of that journey with us by providing world-class product development of innovative solutions such as Automated Energy Transfer System (AETS) and Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET).
AETS and DET are Caterpillar-developed systems that can autonomously transfer energy to battery and diesel-electric large mining trucks while they are working on a mine site. These systems improve operational efficiency and machine availability. The innovative AETS and DET systems provide the industry with options to support both near-term and long-term sustainability strategies. You will have a pivotal role working with Caterpillar team members in a critical and fast-paced product development function to deliver solutions that make our customers successful with sustainable site solutions.
The Stationary Energy Transfer Team Lead - SET / DET will be responsible for leading detailed design work on both electrical and mechanical systems, as well as communicating interface and performance requirements and timelines to design teams to ensure system designs are completed in time to meet the program timelines. This role is part of a high-paced, high-performing team working to mature production-ready designs at a system level.
**What you will do:**
Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
Coordinating resources across sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing.
Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
**Degree Requirement:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
**What skills you will have:**
**Product Design and Development:** Extensive **experience in product development** and experience in **hardware product development** will set you apart. Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
· Leads in designing and implementing new production and distribution methods.
· Leads cross-functional teams assembled for the purpose of product design and development.
· Predicts future trends of product design and development.
**Project Management:** Knowledge of effective **project management strategies** and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
· Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders.
· Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned.
· Consults on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.
**Products and Services:** Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
· Oversees development activities for multiple products.
· Advises colleagues on implementation and operational considerations.
· Coaches others on key factors that differentiate offerings from that of competition.
· Monitors regulatory and environmental issues and considerations.
**Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide **solutions to significant technical challenges.**

· Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.
· Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems.
· Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs.
· Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approach.
**Additional Information:**
This position requires the candidate **to work full-time in the Mossville, IL office.**
Domestic relocation is available.
This position may require up to 25 % travel.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
