Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

15+ years of proven experience in using C# and .NET Core & ASP.NET Core. Must have experience building web applications that handle very high RPS by exploiting parallelism and asynchronous nature of tasks. 3+ years of previous experience in a leadership or management role, guiding and motivating a team of developers.  Analytical thinking and Problem solving, Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices, software architecture and design, DDD, OOAD, API development in restful web applications, Development of libraries and frameworks. Must possess practical understanding of Use cases, TDD Experience with performance optimization, code review processes, and automated testing. Software engineering and experience of maintaining the software deployed in the field Modern dev ops tools & practices, monitoring, and alerting tools usage to monitor solutions deployed in a Kubernetes cluster Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and driving continuous improvement in developer experience, processes, tools and technologies. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.

 

Technical Requirements:

Position is for a seasoned software engineering manager responsible for managing teams that deliver HID SAFE - an industry leading, enterprise Physical Identity and Access Management product.


People Leadership & Development

Coach and mentor engineers in their career growth and skill development. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and feedback sessions. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and psychological safety. Team Health & Productivity Monitor team morale, engagement, and workload balance. Identify and address team-level challenges or interpersonal issues. Support team autonomy while ensuring accountability for outcomes.


Strategic Alignment & Execution

Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to align team goals with business priorities. Ensure engineering teams have the resources and support needed to deliver effectively. Track progress against goals and help teams stay focused on delivering value.


Organizational Enablement

Advocate for the engineering team’s needs within the broader organization. Drive initiatives that improve cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and retention strategie

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience managing engineering teams in Agile environments. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to align team efforts with business strategy. Familiarity with Agile principles and team dynamics.

 

Education and/or Experience:

An Advanced Engineering / Computer Science Degree. 15+ years of proven experience in using C# and .NET Core & ASP.NET Core.
