Senior Engineering Manager 

 

 

 

Your role and responsibilities 
 
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the Engineering function within our division Energy Industries in Sweden. You will initiate, coordinate, drive, and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability. 

 

You will also showcase your expertise by driving the team’s performance to ensure assigned engineering operations are executed successfully and in full alignment with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cyber security policies and standards, and cost/profitability and scheduling targets. 

 

This role contributes to the Energy Industries in Sweden, supporting the development of cutting-edge solutions for our customers. Main stakeholders include Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, Digital, Service, EU OPC, and IN OPC reporting to the Operation Manager.  

 

 

 

You will be mainly accountable for 

 

Leadership of an engineering team >60 people in Sweden incl. 3 engineering teams in different locations (Malmö, Göteborg, Kista and Västerås) responsible for developing solution to ensuring end-to-end delivery of a portfolio  

Deliver excellent engineering solutions for our customer projects and develop our engineering team and ensure projects are delivered on time, within quality standards, and on budget. 

Work together on our growth strategy with Sales and our bid team to acquire and plan for new business opportunities for Energy industries in Sweden 

Building and maintaining customer relationships, seeking feedback, and providing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements. 

Integrating global engineers into the engineering team to establish a strong position in the market and enable to grow our business 

Providing input to the energy division strategy and acting as a key player in its implementation and in strengthening a business model relevant to the scope of engineering. 

Interface and strong focus on HSE and Q topics for customer projects. 

 

Qualifications for the role 

 

You are highly skilled in engineering leadership, control systems, and customer engagement within the energy sector. 

 

Proven Leadership skills in the technical area with experience to develop strong technical teams preferable . 

Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, with a strong background in control systems and customer-facing roles. 

Experience in working with global engineering team  

Advanced skills in strategic planning, organizational development, and project execution. 

You are passionate about team development, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence. 

Fluent in English and Swedish, with excellent communication skills. 

You hold a valid work permit for Sweden. 

Master Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
