Job Position:  Senior Engineer/ Engineer– Supplier Quality

Department: Supply Chain Management

Primary Job Purpose:

Serve as the primary Purchasing supplier quality liaison between Operation and the SupplierPerform supplier’s quality problem resolutions and review CAPA.Lead in supplier audit and evaluate supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at the supplierEnsure purchased productive parts are approved and production-readyWork with buyers to assess and select new and capable suppliersServe as a technical resource to Engineering and SQEAssess the purchase productive part suppliers to determine whether the suppliers’ quality system is acceptable, with final approval from an experienced AQE or supervisorApprove sourcing decisions from a quality perspectiveImplement, facilitate, and ensure completion of the APQP process with selected suppliers, including final part approval of assigned regional commoditiesEnsure that the suppliers' productive capacity meets divisional requirementsProvide technical assistance to supplier quality engineers and engineeringMeet core competency expectationsSpecial assignment

Formal education and experience

Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or ScienceAbout 5 -8 years of experience in Engineering field preferredIATF16949/ISO9001 Certified Internal Auditor preferredPC literary. MS Office proficientAbility to facilitate most conflict situations and/or appropriately seek immediate supervisor's assistanceFunctions independently with minimal supervision and some technical guidanceAdvanced SPC techniquesApply innovation in problem solving. Attention to detail and analytical thinking towards problem solving.  Responsible for suppliers with medium complex parts and/or suppliers with average quality systems. PCB and PCBA process knowledge preferredProficient in technical print/drawing reading. GD&T knowledge preferredGood documentation, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills. Able to interact professionally at all organizational levelsAbility to effectively organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentAbility to facilitate conflict situations with peers independentlyGood Presentation skillsRequired to travel
