Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior** **Structures and Dynamics Enginee** **r** . In this role you should be able to demonstrate familiarity with stress and dynamic analysis, and experimental methods in these disciplines. In addition, the candidate must be a strong communicator in presenting technical information to all levels within the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing structural and dynamic analyses of gas turbine engine power transfer components, including gearboxes, pumps, blowers and air turbine starters. The candidate will also be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting results from dynamic tests supporting development, qualification, and field service issues for these products. Candidate will be expected to work on multiple tasks with a wide variety of project and RRCA teams.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO:**
+ Perform structural analysisusing a combination of hand calculations and finite element analysis using ANSYS, ABAQUS and Siemens NX (Unigraphics) CAD.
+ Performstructural dynamic analysis, including rotor dynamics, torsional system dynamic analysis, and environmental equivalence.
+ Perform dynamic testing, including vibration qualification, self-induced rotating dynamic surveys, modal response, and experimental stress testing.
+ Pursue a thorough understanding of the background and methodology of the analytical and test tools being used.
+ Work with outsourced vendors and component suppliers, reviewing analyses and test reports.
+ Provide guidance and oversight for less experienced structures and dynamics engineers.
+ Readily share experiences and information in the spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
**QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience _or_ in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
+ 5+ years of experience as a structures and/or dynamics role.
**QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:**
+ Experience with FFT analysis and digital processing skills.
+ Structural Dynamic testing and analysis experience.
+ ANSYS, ABAQUS and Siemens NX (Unigraphics) CAD proficiency.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
+ Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
