Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer specializing in Bridges and Underpasses to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our Supervision team you will play a crucial role in the construction supervision of major roadway projects, including new highways, interchanges, and the upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.
Job Duties
Report into the the Resident Engineer and supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sitesConduct site inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans and quality standardsCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issuesFollow up set inspection for installations and review inspector’s performance on a regular basis.Update progress for all assigned works to the project manager to include in his reportsReview updated records that would form as built recordsCheck and coordinate for all assigned servicesCoordinate with Head office (Design) for all material reviews and design queriesImplement and maintain quality control procedures for structural elementsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team membersParticipate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and address concernsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 12 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and underpasses (Cut & Cover)Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications and familiarity with Construction of Box Girder Bridges in UAE/DubaiStrong understanding of international bridge design codes and standardsDemonstrated experience in developing QA/QC procedures for inspections and test plansExcellent project management skills, including the ability to lead a small teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detailOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teamsFamiliarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAERTA Pre-Approval is highly desirableMiddle East or UAE/Dubai experience preferredProfessional engineering license or equivalent certification is a plusAdditional Information
