Responsibilities Production of detailed Highway Geometric Design and Highway Drainage designs and construction drawings for various Africa projects. Mandatory Skills + Good command of written and verbal English + Significant experience in highway infrastructure design including horizontal and vertical design (highways, junctions and roundabouts) highway detailing, traffic signs, road markings, kerbs, pavements, vehicle tracking and highways drainage. + Fully conversant with software like Civil 3d / Open roads + UK or International project experience in the application of DMRB/AASTHO/Eurocodes/Africa - Red Book part 1& 2 + Problem solving and originality. + Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind are essential requirements for the role. + High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others. + Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision. + Ability to check work to ensure quality deliverables. + A proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also expected.Desired skills but not essential + Project management and line management welcomed but not essential
