Senior Engineer Maintenance

Typical Accountabilities:
• Assumes overall responsibility and ownership of an asset or area by delegating specific duties, appointing a building manager, and directing, developing and managing operational services

• Manages finances of area processes, oversees costs for several cost centres and provides input to capital improvement planning as appropriate

• Ensures operational compliance with agreed standards and targets such as Safety, Health and Environment and Good Manufacturing Practice, and other statutory and regulatory requirements

• Keeps customers informed of relevant work or changes that will effect their assets or their ability to do their jobs, working with the customer to minimise the impact of the changes and appropriately plan wider Facilities Management activities

• Takes responsibility for customer comments, problems and feedback on a particular asset or service, exploring the complaint, generating solutions and ensuring satisfactory resolution quickly and effectively

• Keeps up to date with changes and developments on own site and the impact that these will have on assets or area, ensuring that service provision adapts and changes as necessary

• Approximate number of people managed in total (all levels) - 8 - 12
• Matrix Manager – (projects/dotted line)

• Own country

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential: Experience in Facilities Management; Knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment legislation and other relevant regulations; Graduate calibre candidates
• Desirable: Membership of a professional facilities management body

• Internal (to AZ or team): UK facilities management colleagues; Key customers at own site
• External (to AZ): External service providers
