The Senior Engineer II will be part of the Data Analytics team building real-time enterprise-level platform reporting solutions using Fabric Power BI from multiple sources such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, JIRA, ServiceNow, etc. The ideal candidate will analyze data across multiple systems and work closely with the platform engineering team to build the optimal end-to-end BI solution using the full stack of Azure data services to satisfy business needs. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will ensure robust governance and security operations within the Fabric. The candidate will also be working with the platform administration team to configure security settings in line with organizational policies. The role involves working with cross-functional technology teams to analyze and build semantic data models, create reports and dashboards, manage data, evaluate results, and strategically display insights using visualization tools, DAX queries, charts, and relationships.

As a Senior Engineer II, you will work as the technical leader for the product(s) your team delivers. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space, as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). As a Senior Engineer II, you will dedicate a fair amount of time to the planning and discovery of tools and practices inside your given area of expertise. You will apply that knowledge by working closely with Staff Engineers to promote platform level change. Senior Engineer IIs, take production readiness and performance personally and help drive continuous improvement. You will be part of a day-to-day production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. You will be considered the technical owner of the production system(s) you work on and focus on how your product(s) are delivered and how to optimize them for efficiency, security and reliability.

BS in Computer Science or related5+ years of experience as a Power BI developer in BI space is neededExperience working with Snowflake & Azure technologies is a mustWorking experience of scripting, data science and analytics (SQL, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) is needed2+ Years of performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis, and technical troubleshooting in a sometimes, ambiguous environment2+ Years working with Azure cloud-based systemsExperience working with cloud-based systems - Azure & Snowflake data warehouses will be an addExperience with Azure SQL Services will be an addExperience with reporting layer Fabric Power BI is necessary Experience with optimizing Semantic Models using various tools like DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Performance Analyzer and monitoring the Capacity utilization is required.Working experience in designing data pipelines, table structures, and SQL queries is desirableExperience working with large volume data; retail experience strongly desiredWorking knowledge of CI/CD DevOps Process and Implementation.Working knowledge of building data integrity checks as part of delivery of applicationsTechnical expertise to build code that is performant as well as secure.Technical knowledge on infrastructure creation using Terraform is desirableTechnical depth and vision to perform POC’s and evaluate different technologiesAdditional Notes

The typical hiring range for this position is from $144,400 - $177,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
