Senior Engineer I Procurement Commodity Electro Mechanical

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work with strategic procurement colleagues to develop new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements. Develop and implement spend management strategies, including supplier assessments, rationalization, and negotiation for the best total cost of ownership. Prepare, co-develop, and review the reverse auction process with Commodity Managers, including detailed bid information, analysis of detailed results, negotiation, and execution of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Propose to management on a continuing basis to include commodity cost trends, material availability, production options, and alternatives. Collaborate with both internal and external legal counsel. Ensure up-to-date and manage changes in the procurement database.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or other Engineering/Management-related courses. At least 3.5 years of relevant experience in Procurement function in the manufacturing industry or supply chain role in the shared services industry. Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities. Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.). Fair degree of understanding in the field of Supply Chain and knowledge of Project Management. Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM). Basic understanding of Online Reverse Auction.
