Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer - Electrical to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex electrical systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Develop and implement innovative electrical design solutions for complex projects, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainabilityLead cross-functional teams in the execution of large-scale electrical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality resultsPerform detailed electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, and control systemsConduct load calculations and system analyses using advanced software toolsCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems with overall project designsEnsure compliance with local Qatari electrical codes, as well as international standards and regulationsMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team membersPerform site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for project planningStay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical engineeringPrepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings

QualificationsMaster of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredProficiency in load calculation software such as AMTECH and ETAPSkilled in using lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32, DIALux)Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with working knowledge of NavisworksExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D modeling softwareThorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, and Qatari electrical regulationsExtensive knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting design, and control systemsFamiliarity with energy-efficient design practices and sustainable building standardsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalExperience in managing large-scale electrical engineering projectsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentWillingness to adapt to new technologies and industry advancements
