Key Responsibilities:

Studies, analyzes, and seeks solutions to problems related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair of aircraft, and their componentsUses a structured, logical, and analytical approach in problem solvingDefines maintenance program, configuration, and serviceability criteria ensuring safe and legal operationsAnalyzes and implements regulatory requirementsEvaluates the effects of modifications or new equipment on reliability and performanceEvaluates the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure an optimum balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliabilityAuthors, designs, tests, and manages aircraft modification projectsSupport installation and maintenance activities including producing detail work instructions, drawings, Maintenance Manual update, technical substantiation and other related documentationParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, and certification efforts, such as Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) processProvides on-site technical support for line and base operationsCommunicates with customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations, and failure investigationsInterfaces with internal and external organizations regarding specific aircraft and component issuesThis position leads and develops potentially complex solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, management of project implementation, technical support, and obtaining FAA approvals as requiredCoordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiencyOrganize and manage the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplish the work processes to meet all the deliverables for projects or maintenance program changes/technical specification revisionsStay updated on emerging avionics technologies and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirement

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities for complex electrical systemsAbility to analyze complex and technical Engineering and OEM documentsHighly detailed level project development and management for regulatory compliance modifications, and overall ownership of specific systemsEffective communication skillsSuccessful candidate will have working knowledge of airline or OEM operationsKnowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs) airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristicsTime management and project oversight skills to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and travelMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
