Job Summary
Lead the supplier performance of assigned suppliers (steel casting foundry) meeting the KRA's. Optimize supply chain effectiveness through continuous improvement of processes & sustain the supplier's performance. Coordinate deployment of actions in support of the critical initiatives working closely with the Supplier Quality, Materials and Manufacturing resources. Lean Concept Implementation at Key suppliers to improve Performance Level and towards process optimization, Lead Time Reduction.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Own the delivery performance of the assigned suppliers and ensure 95% On Time Delivery (OTD) of the supplies to our sites
Weekly Open Order Review meeting with all suppliers, Analyze and derive an action plan for eliminating the root cause of any delay which affects delivery performance.
OTD to request date must be above 95% by line and must not go below 85%
Initiate steps for improving the Lead Time of the supplier(s); Understand the processing sequence at supplier's end and suggest ways to improve the process; Work closely to improve Lead Time meeting market expectations
Late backlog orders must not exceed 5% of the total open purchase orders with the suppliers
Implement Lean Projects for process improvement, Lead Time & cost reduction
Support all Fisher site purchasing teams with weekly review conference calls involving key suppliers
Quarterly Supplier Business review needs to be conducted including Supplier team & other Key Stakeholders from all WA. Action Points to be Brought together & followed for Completion
Forecast Consolidation, Stocking overview to be maintained & implemented for all assigned diverse Suppliers
Assessing Supplier capability & Capacity required to meet Flow Controls’ Global demand, joint action to be initiated along with the team to enhance the Performance
Maintaining the RCCP (Rough Cut capacity Plan) for all suppliers on monthly / weekly basis & alert the site if there is a spike beyond allocation in demand
Ensure Relationship development and management with Key Supplier Emerson Account Managers
Align the Supplier loading pattern from various sites for specific Project / Product as per the derived strategy
Weekly updates of all assigned suppliers New Product Development projects under execution
Supplier Business Reviews to ensure long-term plan and strategy
Develop structured process with supplier to set the important metrics.
Internal relationships with subordinate, peers, cross-functional team in Valve Business Unit as well as Emerson’s Other Business Units

For This Role, You Will Need:
Need to mentor Steel Casting foundries & have to work along with them to Improve their Performance (LBL/OTD)
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive the improvement initiatives working with the steel casting foundries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the important skills to effectively apply technology and systems specific to the department required
Strong understanding of Foundry production processes, supply chain and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree or experience in engineering mechanical or related field, with minimum proficient experience
Strong technical background in Various Steel Grades, Special Alloy Grades, & ASTM Standards
Experience in Handling Casting Parts Commodity
Sourcing Knowledge towards Casting processes & lead time
Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001, ISO 14064, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 procedures
