Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of environmental engineering tasks by applying standard scientific and engineering principles.

What You'll Be Doing:

Performs a variety of office tasks requiring the application of standard scientific and engineering principles.Will lead field teams by planning, organizing, and directing the work in the field under the supervision of the Project Manager.Perform independent field work and gather all types of field data pertinent to the assigned project, including soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental sampling.Execute field projects with health and safety as the top priority.Analyze and interpret environmental sample analysis results within the context of the geological setting.Develop materials and complete work plans or reports with some technical oversight.Assist in preparation of proposals and cost estimates and in soliciting bids from subcontractors/suppliers.Work with project managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget.May provide technical supervision or guidance to lower-level geologists, engineers, or environmental scientists.May manage site investigation projects of varying size.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 8 to 10 years of related work experience.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

A master’s degree in engineering or related field.Certification as a professional engineer.8 to 10 years of environmental consulting work experience with a mix of office experience (writing work plans, reports, coordinating field projects, etc.) and field experience (subcontractor/drilling oversight, groundwater/soil sampling, etc.).Familiarity with related environmental rules and regulations (such as CERCLA, RCRA, etc.).Ability to work in a fully remote work arrangement.A valid driver’s license, the ability and willingness to travel to and from field locations up to 25% of the time.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
