ReqID: LOS0000TQ **Senior Engineer (Los Angeles, California)** + Perform geotechnical design and analysis for geotechnical elements, including deep and shallow foundations, earthworks, retaining systems, tunnels, and underground structures for private and government-funded projects; + Support and assume task management with geotechnical and tunneling projects; + Coordinate and interpret field and laboratory test results from ground investigations for design purposes; + Interpret and prepare Geotechnical Baseline and Interpretive reports (GBR’s and GIR’s); + Prepare and review design reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications; + Use and supervise the use of geotechnical finite element modelling software, such as PLAXIS 2D and 3D; + Perform seismic design of underground structures in accordance with relevant Codes and Standards in the United States; + Work with CAD and GIS resources to prepare project drawings; and, + Coordinate with engineers from various disciplines and collaborate in the design of building foundations, bridge foundations, and tunnels. + Requires Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience. + Salary Range: $131,040 to $160,800/year. + Benefits that Work - At Arup, we have a comprehensive and valuable benefits program that works for our employees and their families while keeping costs low.
