Position Summary
Position is within Catawba's Maintenance Support Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer. The candidate will join a diverse peer team to manage the equipment reliability of Catawba’s Emergency Diesel Generators. This includes management of the Emergency Diesel Generator preventive maintenance program, monitoring and trending performance of each machine, coordinating with cross functional teams to plan Emergency Diesel Generator work windows, and setting direction for the strategic long planning of the Emergency Diesel Generator to ensure optimum equipment reliability. If you’re looking for something new, this position offers a wide variety of work and overtime requirements are infrequent. You will also work inside of an operating power plant offering fieldwork experience, inspections, and walkdowns while the nuclear station provides life-essential electricity to the surrounding community and power grid. This position offers a 4-day 10h workweek (Mon-Thurs) with a hybrid work schedule (at least 2 of 4 days are in the office, the others may be taken at home).
