What You’ll Do

As a Sr. Packaging Engineer, you’ll be part of our innovative team located in Taiwan. You’ll get to:

· Execute packaging strategies to support new product development and existing product packaging activities within HTAS specific business units.

· Develop innovative, sustainable packaging design solutions to support brand development and distinction.

· Work closely with Marketing, Product, Quality and Sourcing Teams to develop and define/create innovative packaging concepts.

· Participate in cross functional teams to design, develop, and implement new packaging and/or packaging changes for quality and/or cost.

· Evaluate supplier selection for packaging design, production, and pack out.

· Collaborate with suppliers and global packaging support teams to develop packaging design, specifications, and implement improvements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organizational teams to ensure that open lines of communication and understanding of packaging needs and processes are understood.

· Actively participate in marketing research programs including focus groups and trade shows to keep abreast of industry changes, new innovations, and equipment for updating designs and processes. Visit/evaluate current and potential new suppliers annually.

· Strive for continuous improvement and best practices for global symmetry and organizational structure.

· Provide guidance and mentoring to Packaging Engineers to develop professional skills and career goals.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Who You Are

· BS or BA in Packaging Engineering preferred, or Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or Graphic Design with relevant experience.

· Must have at least 5-7 years of Packaging Engineering related work experience within Consumer Products or a related industry.

· Ability to work effectively with Marketing, Design, Product Development, and Sourcing Teams regarding packaging execution.

· Demonstrates Strategic and Critical Thinking with regards to structural packaging.

· Expert knowledge of packaging related manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, printing, die-cutting, thermoforming, plastic injection and blow molding and the characteristics for packaging structural design.

· Strong background in Artios CAD, TOPS/Cape and Adobe Creative Suite.

· Excellent Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills.

· Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

· Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills.

· International /Global experience preferred.
