We have an opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead a cross functional team of engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to support production and field challenges on various pump product lines. In addition to supporting production disruptions, this role will be responsible for prioritizing and guiding a small team to define the repair process, create and publish instruction documentation, and oversee the implementation of the repair procedures at the field depots.
You should have a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings. You should also excel at organizing and directing an engineering team, and facilitating collaboration between engineering, producibility, ground support engineering, and production teams.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
+ Confidently prioritize and communicate engineering projects and challenges.
+ Develop disposition and substantiation for stocked and delivered hardware.
+ Provide Project Engineering leadership and ownership for the creation of all repair procedures.
+ Read and interpret drawings, provide mark ups, and coordinate drawing changes.
+ Investigate and document internal and supplier manufacturing processes.
+ Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
+ Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce probability of engineering turn-backs.
+ Liaise between project management, supply chain, producibility, ground support engineering, and production line management as necessary to prioritize task closure.
+ Provide feedback repair issues and observations to the sustaining and new product introduction teams to support design and process improvements.
+ This position may require up to 10% travel.
**QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in a technical position, mechanical aerospace preferred.
**QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER**
+ Mechanical Engineering Degree.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical hardware.
+ Demonstrated leadership in a production role supporting aerospace rotating equipment is preferred.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
+ Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks
+ Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
