Additional responsibilities may include + Coordinates with technical support personnel to conduct prototype or experimental runs of products or processes. + Works with external manufacturers (EMs) to provide continuity of supply, failure investigations, and sustaining support. + Performs tasks such as supplier tooling validations, NCR/CAPAs, and technical documentation + Develops, writes, and executes validation protocols and reports. + Resolves problems, such as production process deviations, vendor deviations from specification, urgent out of-stock replacements, and crisis situations requiring fast, astute decisions with rapid implementation by utilizing technical training and experience. + Provides training on systems. **Qualifications:** + A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of five years of significant engineering and/or operational experience is required. + Electro-Mechanical, Plastics or Biomedical Engineering background highly preferred. + Medical device experience (21 CFR Part 820, ISO13485) highly preferred. + Experience in working with EM’s highly preferred. + Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, supplier component validations and processing technical documents (IQ/OQ/PQ) + This position is in Irvine, CA and may require between 20%-40% travel as needed both locally and/or internationally. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
