As part of the OFSAA development team, this Senior Engineer will analyze business requirements and drive research to design technical solutions. This individual will be involved in sourcing of data from source systems into the Oracle Financial System Analytical Application Framework (OFSAA) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the application software. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data. **Responsibilities:** + Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. + Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems. + Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software. + Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts. + Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues. + Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage. + Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code. + May lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance. + May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Required Skills:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). + At least to five (5) years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, all aspects of SDLC in a highly scalable multi-tier applications in distributed environments is preferred. + Financial services and/or enterprise level experience is required. + Experience with SQL, PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions, other database objects is required. + Basic experience with ETL/ Data Flow Principles. Extracting, loading of data from source systems is required. + Knowledge of Java or REST API. + Experience with Unix and Shell scripting. + Experience Job scheduler tools like BMC Control-M, Autosys. + Knowledge on Data Warehousing concepts. + Occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities. + Excellent written and oral communication skills. **Optional Skills:** + Knowledge on OFSAA application. + Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps is preferred. + Experience with regulatory reporting, especially in the area of CECL and CCAR are preferred. + Experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting are preferred. **Licenses/Certifications:** + None required.
