1. Roles & Responsibilities
Executing design visualization efforts with 3D CAD models and essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design optionsDeveloping innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturabilityDeveloping engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies that have tough requirements for size, precision, reliability, and costLeading quality engineering projects that provide imaginative solutions to engineering and customer issuesInfluencing cross-functional teams to implement quality actionsDelivering improvements to customer focused metricsValidating product sub-system reliability performance2. Qualification/Requirements
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/positionComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlinesIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredSupport compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program DeliverablesParticipate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible3. Desired Characteristics
MS or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (defined as 5 years relative engineering experience)5+ years working experience in mechanical designExperience/knowledge of robotics and autonomous system design is preferredGood communication in EnglishExperience of working in global team and familiar with manufacturing process4.
