None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace's Global Engineering & Technology Center in Puerto Rico (GETC-PR) is seeking a highly motivated engineer with a passion for problem solving to join our Digital Solutions Core Team.
In this role, you will combine your engineering expertise and data skills to support the Landing Systems product lifecycle process and derive data-driven insights. You will collaborate with multiple disciplinary functions of the business to identify, analyze, investigate, and mitigate high-impact technical problems.
The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of exploratory tasks while developing a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects of our products
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What You Will Do
Develop comprehensive product knowledge (both technical and business) to understand key features and contribute effectively to team objectives.Leverage DPLC tools for advanced data analysis and provide support to engineering teams using DPLC toolsMonitor and trend fleet-wide performance data to identify anomalies and generate targets of interest.Collaborate cross-functionally to gather additional insights and investigate high-impact data anomalies.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals to assist in root cause determination.Support data analytics initiatives utilizing field data sources and big data toolsGenerate and communicate technical presentations and reviews to key program stakeholders and customers.Measure and drive the success of initiatives and drive continuous improvements.Track, mitigate, and resolve issues, risks, and blockers efficiently.Keep management informed of progress to ensure alignment.Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.Support team with any ad-hoc data related tasks.What YOU will learn:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experienceDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer
Familiarity with building data pipelines and automating analytics processes.Familiarity with BI tools, ability to extract data for analysisExperience working in an Agile Team. Familiarity with Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).Experience working with Jira/Github.Experience in Aerospace industryExperience in creating and delivering formal presentations to all levels of leadershipStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, data-driven approach to optimization challenges.Familiar with engineering drawings, 3D Modeling, and GD&TExperience in Programming and Data Analytics / Data Visualization tools (Python, PySpark, SQL, MATLAB, etc.)Familiarity with data collection, curation, analysis, and visualization.Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets, draw conclusions, and present findings in a meaningful way.What We Offer
