**Position Summary**
As a Senior Engineer of Commercialization for Equipment and Packs, you will lead the transformation of innovative designs into commercially viable, high-performance products. Operating from one of VF’s key manufacturing regions and embedded within strategic vendor partnerships, you will serve as a senior technical authority and cross-functional leader, ensuring that product intent is preserved while optimizing for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and quality.
You will drive early-stage engagement with design, development, and sourcing teams, embedding best-in-class commercialization practices throughout the product lifecycle. Your leadership will ensure seamless handoff to production, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing vendor capabilities to meet VF’s evolving standards of excellence.
**How You Will Make a Difference**
+ Lead commercialization strategy for equipment and packs across multiple product lines and vendors.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with design, development, sourcing, and quality teams to align product vision with manufacturing realities.
+ Drive early engagement in the product development cycle to identify risks, propose solutions, and influence design for manufacturability.
+ Own the technical relationship with strategic vendors, ensuring readiness for production and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
+ Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
+ Champion process improvements and standardization initiatives across the commercialization function.
+ Analyze and report on commercialization KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
**Skills for Success**
+ **Experience:** 5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, technical, or production environments within fashion, retail, or consumer-facing multinational organizations.
+ **Education:** Degree in Textiles, Equipment/Apparel/Footwear-related fields.
+ **Expertise:**
+ Equipment and accessories
+ LEAN manufacturing and automation
+ Pattern engineering
+ Laboratory standards, testing, and materials
+ **Communication:** Ability to simplify complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable communication.
+ **Languages:** Excellent English; Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus.
**What We Expect You Already Know**
+ Deep technical knowledge of equipment and accessories, including construction, testing, material performance, fit, and wear.
+ Experience in LEAN production, automation, and speed development.
+ Ability to work independently or within cross-functional, multicultural teams.
+ Strong communication skills to deliver impactful technical feedback.
+ Understanding of paper pattern creation and digital product creation is a strong advantage.
