Senior Engagement Manager - Telco, APJ-Delivery-JPN

We’re hiring an Telco Engagement Manager to lead AWS project teams, partner, and client teams. Engagement Manager in this role, deliver and operate AWS cloud products and services that enable our Telco customers to realize their business objectives. These professional services engagements focus on the full platform of AWS customer solutions to help our customers and partners remove constraints and accelerate their journey to AWS. AWS Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective AWS customer experience, best practices, and obsessing about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product, service, and training teams in Telco industry, to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovations for our customers across all industries. Engagement Managers help Customers make decisions to meet their technical and business objectives by providing best practices, proactively identifying and closing project gaps. \#aws-jp-proserv-ap \#AWSJapan Key job responsibilities - You manage the overall lifecycle of large and/or complex Telco project and lead engagements to deliver business outcomes and establish capabilities/practices to improve delivery and operation quality - You demonstrate understanding of various relevant technologies, AWS offerings, AWS partner eco-systems (solutions, products, and delivery capabilities) and their application. - You define and share EM best practices across teams and lead collaboration across diverse groups. You mentor others on EM best practices. - You develop new capabilities to remove delivery obstacles. You create new assets, enhance assets, and promote their adoption. You contribute to the creation of new capabilities (e.g., tools, delivery kits, best practices) to promote delivery efficiency and delivery quality. - You anticipate and mitigate risks and stakeholder challenges; you are escalated to and drive resolution. - You use judgement to guide technology and business trade-offs and guide customers to a scalable and long-term solution. - You are able to articulate framework perspectives and phases; you educate others on them. You also mentor others to employ AWS engagement delivery best practices. - You are able to lead customers to define and expand on business strategy and outcomes A day in the life Telco Engagement Managers aim to establish long-term strategic relationships with Telco clients who require Professional Services by leading important projects (or groups of projects) with an overall perspective to extract the final business outcomes based on their business issues. In practice, Engagement Managers endeavor to build relationships with clients and manage their expectations while serving as a Product Owner to effectively communicate their needs to implementation and development teams. Basic Qualifications - PMP or any other relevant project management certification(s) - Telco industry experience, familiar with Telco network and its operation - Project Management lead experience Preferred Qualifications - Has deep and broad understanding of principles that apply to technology scenarios for Telco customers, industries, or technology domains - Has led significantly complex and/or transformational engagements - Assists customers to envision business objectives and implement solutions - Fluent in communicating technical concepts to both technical and business audiences - Leads cross-org initiatives requiring the consensus and collaboration of many teams - Establishes best practices in a deeply understood domain and/or broadly across organizations - Develops scaled mechanisms to create and evolve technical documentation; defines documentation standards Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
