Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Employee Development Specialist to join our Production System Training (PST) team as a technical instructor in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical and general maintenance instruction, including turbine engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) run certifications and general instructingDeliver technical training in formal classroom environment, in lab environments and shipsideAdminister written and practical (skills) assessments in accordance with curriculum design and process requirementsRecord and maintain training records into authorized repositoryProvide technical aircraft systems training and coaching to individuals requiring enhanced skills trainingAssist engineering, quality and manufacturing with assembly process training improvementsDemonstrate proper electrical applications (strip and crimp, wire harness fabrication, solder sleeve installation, solder termination)Demonstrate proper general mechanical applications (safety wire/safety devices, torque, bond, ground, sealants)Read, interpret and describe Engineering drawing, blueprints and specificationsProvide on the floor coaching to the manufacturing teamPlan and implement learning solutions as applicableIdentify potential issues that impact performanceConduct assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and governing criteriaProvide feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of riskAnalyze and interpret defect dataDevelop training recommendations for the reduction of operator-caused defectsPerform ongoing monitoring of customer's operating environment and key business measures and objectivesPartner with PST teams to develop and/or update training curriculumBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience5+ years of experience with General Aircraft Mechanic repair techniques and processes, including safety wire/safety devices, torque, bond, ground, sealants, corrosion, and the assembly and installation of aircraft components5+ years of experience working with a variety of general tools and equipment, both hand and power, effectively to support aerospace maintenance (torquing devices, fastener installation, safety wire, drills, sealing tools and applicators)3+ years of experience operating APU and turbine engines on Commercial or Military derivative aircraft3+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals3+ years of experience as an instructor in a classroom environmentAbility to travel up to 10% of the time; may change based on business needsAbility to work alternate shifts based on business demandsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with commercial, military, or commercial derivative aircraft involving manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, delivery and fleet support3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques3+ years of experience with fabrication, assembly, and repair of composite materials used in aerospace applicationsDCMAI 8210 and FAA experienceExperience with LMS course and curricula architecture, curricula management, curation and course maintenanceDrug Free Workplace:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $90,100 - $106,000
