Your responsibilities will consist of product research, development, and sustainment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Design, develop, and sustain high-voltage test and measurement tools for use in the power transmission and distribution industry including voltmeters, phasers, voltage indicators and detectors, wearable devices, transformers and dielectric testers, etc.   Lead system design, including architecture design and system requirements development.  Carry out circuit design, PCB layout, and apply design techniques like simulation, analysis, and consistency to relevant standards.  Define, plan, and coordinate development, product qualification, safety, and regulatory compliance testing.  Conduct concept feasibility assessments and technical risk evaluations for new products.  Evaluate new and emerging technologies.  Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers, including hands-on fixing, and debugging.  Ensure flawless transition from development to production by crafting manufacturing and test specifications, supporting design for manufacturability, and collaborating with suppliers.  Support field investigations, manufacturing, and supply chain issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.  Collaborate multi-functionally with firmware, software, mechanical, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing teams.  Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.  5 + years proven ability with electrical engineering for product design.   Legal authorization to work in the United States—sponsorship will not be provided for this role.  Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Competency in PCB layout, circuit design, and schematic comprehension related to high-voltage test and measurement instruments.  Knowledge in electric and magnetic field theory.  Knowledge in grid infrastructure, overhead and underground equipment, standard work practices, and problem-solving within the electric utility industry.  Solid understanding of test equipment, measurement techniques, and qualification procedures for high-voltage safety and compliance.  Expertise in high-voltage test and measurement applications, including custom or standardized sensing technologies and system-level integration.  Experience crafting wearable electronic devices.  Development of sophisticated EMF sensors for personal voltage detection and field measurement.  Strong background in signal processing algorithms (e.g., power frequency detection, phasing, noise filtering, hazard differentiation, adaptive sensitivity, etc.).  Knowledge of functional safety principles and safety-critical system design for high-voltage environments.  Familiarity with electrical safety and EMC compliance standards (UL, CSA, CE, FCC, IEC).  Experience with electronics reliability modeling and rugged environmental design, including resiliency to noise and arcing within high voltage environments.  Hands-on experience with rechargeable battery-powered systems, including low-power optimization for wearable applications.  Design experience with mass-produced electronics (PCBAs, cable assemblies, etc.).  Our Culture & Commitment to You:
