**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Senior Electrical Engineer** as part of a team providing hardware and software development solutions for the US Army in **Huntsville, AL.** Activities will include the development of special purpose electronic assemblies. **The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:** + Identify and manage electrical/electronic hardware requirements. + Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation and component selection for high availability, high reliability and low Size, Weight and Power (SWAP) environments. + Perform initial checkout and debug of prototype printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. + Apply knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: + Embedded microcontroller hardware/firmware design and development. + FPGA firmware design, development, verification. + High speed digital design (e.g. DDR3/DDR4). + Analog design for data acquisition systems. + Switch mode power supply design. + Motor control. + EMC. + Generate and Review documentation for a Technical Data Package (TDP) associated with the design, development, unit test, and integration of hardware/firmware components. + Assess technical and integration risk and help identify mitigations. + Witness integration and testing, review test plans and procedures, review and adjudicate Deficiency Reports. + Review relevant milestone contract deliverables and provide recommendations across the life cycle of the development effort. **Qualifications** **Required Education:** + Bachelor's degree and five (5) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree. **Required Clearance:** + Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
