In this role you will:
Design, develop, and integrate haptics peripherals into HID devices, ensuring seamless user experiences and tactile feedback.
Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr or equivalent solutions for embedded applications.
Develop EE & firmware, conduct system-level debugging, and ensure efficient operation across prototypes and final products.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanics, electronics, UX/UI designers, and product managers) to ensure alignment between hardware and software integration.
Engage in rapid prototyping to validate design concepts, accelerate development cycles, and build proof-of-concept devices.
Drive technology exploration and innovation to enrich user interaction with HID products.
Collaborate in documenting designs, creating test plans, and ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
Technical Skills
Embedded System Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ARM-based microcontrollers (Nordic Semiconductor NRF52 and NRF54 families is a plus).
Real-Time Software Expertise: Proficiency with RTOS frameworks like Zephyr or equivalent, and deep knowledge of multi-threading, scheduling, and low-power optimization.
Haptics Technology: Thorough understanding of haptics peripherals design and integration, including motor drivers and actuators.
Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in rapid hardware and software prototyping techniques to test concepts efficiently and advance development timelines.
Firmware Development: Strong firmware coding abilities in C/C++, with knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
Communication Protocols Expertise: Skilled in implementing and debugging wired and wireless protocols like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), I2C, SPI, etc.
System Integration Abilities: Experience in interfacing embedded systems with sensors, actuators, and other peripheral devices.
Soft Skills
Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, combined with a results-driven mindset.
Team Collaboration: Effective communication abilities to work closely within a multidisciplinary team, bringing ideas together across mechanical, electronic, and design domains.
