For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, preferably within analytical instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or precision electronics. Strong expertise in crafting sophisticated analog and digital circuits and systems, including low-noise electronics and precision control. Proficient in multi-layer PCB layout and design, with preferred experience using Altium Designer. Solid understanding of PCB thermal management, EMC/EMI compliance, and mitigation techniques. Experience with temperature controllers, microcontrollers, data acquisition systems, and embedded systems, including firmware-hardware integration. Familiarity with discrete component selection and verification, and communication protocols such as QSPI, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet (including PHY), USB, PCIe, and LPDDR4. Proven problem-solving skills, with experience debugging and validating sophisticated electrical systems. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% internationally and domestically. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Understanding of high-gain transimpedance amplifier design Knowledge of IPC standards related to PCB manufacturing Exposure to Linux-based systems and open-source software solutions Understanding of chemical or analytical instrumentation principles, especially gas chromatography, is a strong plus.
