Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical control systems for packaging machinery using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.Develop and write machine software using Rockwell, Beckhoff, and Zenon.Conduct control system safety analysis using Sistema.Attend specification meetings with customers and provide expert input on electrical design aspects.Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure fully coordinated designs.Complete engineering designs on time and within cost targets.Carry out risk assessments on machinery and ensure compliance with CE, National Electric Code, CSA, and UL requirements.Write and develop PLC, Servo Motion, HMI, and Safety controller code for machine control.Commission packaging machinery at Syntegon and customer sites.Provide technical support, including occasional on-site assistance.Lead projects when working with multiple engineers.Identify, research, and evaluate new technologies.Travel domestically and internationally as required (valid passport and driving licence necessary).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification10+ years of Electrical and Software Engineering experience, preferably in the Packaging industryProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, and programming using Rockwell, Beckhoff, and Zenon softwareExperience with control system safety analysis using SistemaWorking knowledge of CE, National Electric Code, CSA, and UL requirementsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and lead projectsValid passport and driving licence for domestic and international travel
