Key Responsibilities May Include:
Lead the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from concept development and design to commissioning and operational handoff, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and operational objectives.Ensure adherence to global safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA), risk assessments, and regulatory requirements during the design, installation, and operational phases of projects.Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and productivity to reduce downtime and improve system performance.Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on engineering best practices, troubleshooting issues, and mentoring junior engineers to foster technical growth and innovation.Partner with Operations, IT, Safety, and other stakeholders to align project objectives, address technical challenges, and drive seamless integration across functions.Oversee supplier and contractor activities, ensuring adherence to standards, timelines, and budget constraints during project execution.Develop training materials and upskill teams on new technologies, systems, and best practices, ensuring proper documentation and operational handoff.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Electrical Controls Engineer is to lead the development of and support of complex automated solutions allowing CHEP to reach its goals of a touchless plant. The Senior Electrical Controls Engineer will apply knowledge of engineering principles to support the development of automated solutions, programmable logic control systems (PLCs), instrumentation and IT Solutions.
Provide Senior level Electrical Controls support for new and old technologies in CHEP. This might include technologies involving Networking, Vision, RFID, Programming, Marking, or other systems that support team activities.
This position requires up to 50% travel. Candidates must live near a major US airport with ability to travel regularly.
