Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We arWe are searching for the best talent for Senior EHS&S Technician** **Purpose:** + Appointed by the Site EHS&S Representative Coordinates all day-to-day activities to ensure compliance to regulatory and J&J in Environmental, Health and Safety Area. + This may include providing management support to J&J sites assisting conformation to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001 Standard & J&J Worldwide EHS Standards as related to federal, state and local regulations. Under supervision, execute activities of robust processes to identify, evaluate and control safety, ergonomic, environmental and/or and safety risk in the workplace. **You will be responsible for** **:** Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Know & follow J&J policies & procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility + Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time period. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such of EHS&S. + Assist with EHS&S Incident Investigations. + Assist with technical support for EHS&S.EHS&S Committees, Teams, Programs or Events + Work closely with the Site EHS&S Representative to ensure the facility is in full compliance with operating permits. + Assist with monitoring progress of action plans, incidents, corrective action, equipment evaluations and associates and public complaints. + Assist Contractors supervision. + Assist with the evaluation, planning and implementation of appropriate EHS&S program components; under direct level of supervision, assist with projects requiring basic knowledge of EHS&S to the identification of potential risk to conduct analysis of the level of risk to the implementation of appropriate control measures in the area. + Responsible for organizing and coordinating the Site’s Recycling, Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Waste programs. Including day-to-day coordinating collection, storage, pick-ups and disposal of wastes to J&J approved TSD facilities. + Documents all recycling, hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities and provides required updated reports to the Site EHS&S Representative. + Conducts inspections to identify EHS&S issues in the facility. + Responsible for conducting required inspections of hazardous waste installations, biohazard waste installations, cafeteria and outside perimeter to ensure EHS&S compliance with regulations. + Work with the Site EHS&S Representative to support the development and implementation of program to achieve J&J EHS&S Goals. + Assist in writing and updating policies, procedures, documents and forms of the EHS&S system through the document control system. + Assist in the evaluation of equipment, task, process, workstations, office and manufacturing environment to identified EHS&S or ergonomic issues to address through an action plan. + Assist in office tasks such as filling, printing, generating purchase requisitions, getting quotes, handling vendors, recordkeeping etc. + Works closely with the Emergency Response Teams as well as other Teams to offer leadership and support in developing training exercises. + Assists the Site EHS&S Representative in providing proper EHS&S awareness training to new/temporary J&J associates and contractors. + Follow J&J Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third-party vendor if applicable. + Assist the Site EHS&S Representative with the development and implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System & MAARS program at the facility. + Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level + Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. + For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable + Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures + Performs other duties assigned as needed **Qualifications / Requirements:** + Currently pursuing a bachelor’s Degree (Preferred). Minimum of High School Diploma + Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities. + 4 to 6 years of experience in related fields. + GMP/ ISO (18001 / 14001) knowledge preferred + Knowledge of product and processes preferred + Strong communication Skills + Assertiveness + Knowledge of EHS&S programs + Knowledge of chemical and waste management. (BASIC) preferred + English level: intermediate - advanced (preferred)
