The Job:
As a Senior Engineer, EH&S, you’ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team at Compass II, a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker in Vietnam.
In this role, you will develop, implement & monitor company environmental, occupational health & safety (EHS) program & policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulation & policies. Promote awareness of EHS culture and programs through communication and collaboration team interaction. Recommend & implement preventive action & corrective action to mitigate the risk. Provide the guidance & consultation on EHS topic.
You will be working in VSIP 1, Binh Duong and total working hours is 48 hours weekly, from Mon – Fri (might work one or two Saturdays per month as arranged by the department head).

Team Leadership and Development
Support the EHS team members and guide the team through execution of diverse & varied EHS and other duties.Other as Manager's assignment.EHS Data Management and Reporting
Report data related to injuries, environmental metrics, related investigations, and action items.EHS Data Web Management (collect data, verify with relevant departments, analyze trends and recommend actions, maintain EHS data ready for reviewing and auditing).System Development and Compliance
Build EHS management system based on ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & corporate roadmap framework.Ensure the site complies with SBD Requirements & Vietnam law application.Control Management of Change.Procedures, Policies, and Audits
Responsible for developing EHS procedures, policies, guidelines as well as implementing and monitoring their implementation.Take lead for EHS Audit & Inspection, 5S & Gemba walk.Operational Safety and Site Oversight
In-depth understanding of machinery safety, PIV, LOTO.Daily site tour and detect EHS non-compliance issues on roadmap & environments, discuss with relevant departments on closing the gap.Identify training requirements, skills, and programs as required by law and EHS corporate strategy.Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Promotion
Work with relevant departments to promote EHS initiatives, implementation, and good practices. Promoting EHS is non-negotiable at the plant.Organize the safety event to promote the culture.The Person:

Education: University degree in a relevant field (environmental, chemistry, safety, or health).
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience working in large-scale manufacturing MNCs (more than 500 HCs).Proven ability to lead a team and work independently under high pressure.In-depth understanding of management systems (ISO standards), 5S, and lean EHS practices.Skills / Personalities:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.Knowledge of statistical methods and analytical techniques.Fluent in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Able to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.Creative and proactive in addressing work and assigned tasks.Demonstrates strong leadership: set clear, customer-focused expectations; be forward-looking and connect work to broader organizational goals.Agile and performance-driven: able to simplify processes, focus on priorities, and take decisive action to achieve business results.And more:
