This role is responsible for translating the firm’s best thinking—from investment strategists, research analysts, and planning experts—into clear, compelling, audience-ready content across multiple formats, with video at the core. This is a hands-on, narrative-driven position that blends editorial leadership, multimedia production fluency, and storytelling instinct. The Senior Editor/Director writes and edits video scripts, landing pages and social copy; shapes outlines and run-of-shows; preps and directs subject-matter experts on set; and oversees the creative execution of high-visibility episodic content. They ensure core programming is adapted to extend to web, email, and social with consistency, clarity, and polish. This role collaborates with strategists, editors, writers, designers, and video partners and agencies to deliver a steady cadence of content that builds confidence, reflects the brand voice, and supports key prospect-, client-, and advisor-facing content marketing efforts—all while navigating the compliance requirements of a highly regulated industry. Hybrid: Generally in the office 3-days a week, but not always – depends on the video schedule. **Duties & Responsibilities** + **Editorial and Narrative Development** + Lead the development of scripts, outlines, voiceovers, and run-of-show documents that translate complex investment and planning insights into confident, audience-friendly storytelling. + Conduct interviews with subject-matter experts, extract key themes, and refine messaging to align with editorial tone and program goals. + Shape content strategy at the episode level, developing treatments and frameworks that guide story structure and reinforce brand positioning. + **Video and Production Leadership** + Direct video productions with confidence across studio, remote, and field settings, ensuring message clarity, timing, and tone. + Guide on-camera talent—including senior leaders and financial professionals—through preparation and on-set direction. + Collaborate with video editors and motion designers to shape rough cuts and final edits, providing feedback that aligns with narrative goals, compliance standards, and creative direction. + Manage multiple production work streams concurrently, balancing strategic intent with executional detail and timeline urgency. + **Multi-Channel Content Execution** + Adapt core video narratives for publishing across web pages, blog posts, emails, and newsletters, and social maintaining editorial consistency and voice. + Manage content workflow, including internal review cycles and stakeholder feedback, to ensure assets are approved, accurate, and ready for launch. + Uphold editorial quality across all formats, from long-form video to platform-specific social copy. + Planning, Workflow, and Innovation + Maintain a steady, forward-looking content pipeline, balancing long-lead initiatives with rapid-turn market reactions or campaign tie-ins. + Partner with managing editors and strategists to shape content calendars and program roadmaps. + Continuously refine content structure and visual storytelling approaches based on performance, feedback, and format testing. + Develop and manage deliverables packages for content in progress, including routing for input and approvals. + Keep stakeholders informed on projects, including production schedules and deadlines, driving urgency and ensure on-time launches. **Skills & Qualifications** + Strong editorial instincts with demonstrated ability to translate complex material into accessible, confident storytelling. + Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting content to meet audience, format, and platform requirements. + Financial fluency preferred—especially in investment, planning, and economic subject matter with ability to lead content development in a regulated industry, with working knowledge of compliance review cycles, disclosure standards, and legal risk frameworks. + Deep curiosity and subject-matter acumen in topics related to financial markets, investing, economics and policy, and personal wealth management and planning. + Narrative clarity across all content assets—especially in flagship video programming. + Content that builds trust and relevance with investors, advisors, and other stakeholders. Efficient, on-brand video production that delivers high-quality work at scale. + A creative process that balances business goals with editorial and visual impact. + Smooth navigation of legal, compliance, and regulatory review processes with minimal disruption to content intent or delivery. **Education & Experience** + 7+ years in editorial, journalism, content marketing, or financial media roles. + 5+ years of hands-on video production experience, including scripting, on-set direction, talent prep, and post-production collaboration. + Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and collaborative editorial platforms is a plus. **To Apply** Use the link at the bottom of this page to apply.
