As Senior Distribution Manager, you will lead and oversee all distribution operations at our Atlanta site, ensuring excellence across inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and shipping execution. In this role, you will build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while driving strategies and processes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. You will design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement through data-driven reporting and analysis. Leads and manages the distribution team in the achievement of goals and objectives.Leads management of 3PL provider to ensure optimal performance and metrics are achieved.Progress multiple projects / engagements simultaneously.Ability to sustain a lean environment within the distribution operationsResponsible for both inbound and outbound finished goods and raw material operations/ production supportEstablish an environment of continuous improvement employing all the tenants of 5S processLeads the distribution center to achieve quarterly financial goalsMaintenance of annual budget targets in partnership with the financial teamInitiates investigations into process failures, product failures, and safety incidents, and identifies and implements appropriate corrective and preventive actionsDevelops a strategy of continuous improvement to include productivity and efficiency improvements methodologyLeads a Safety-First culture – partnering with H&S to consistently improve safety procedures and metricsEnsures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods; packaged according to specification; and shipped in a timely manner.Manages receipt of all materials to ensure quality.Ensures quality objectives are met while operating within the allocated budget and meeting delivery deadlines while being flexible and working efficiently.Manages inventory control through cycle counting and physicals.Analyzes current procedures and new ideas to improve current productivity and efficiencies.Maintains documentation and prepares reports which reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.Establishes KPIs in order to meet or exceed departmental objectives.Establish appropriate communications (content and frequency) with team required to align focus and efforts with organizational and customer needs.Interacts with peer group, senior management, and field personnel to problem solve and/or resolve issues among functional areas, other sites, or customers and the company.Manages the coordination of activities within the department with responsibility for costs, methods, and employees.Create and foster an environment that harbors continuous improvement and the elimination of non-value added steps.Manage and sustain product traceability systems, utilizing WMS/Oracle, to support customer and quality requirements.Ensure proactive involvement in, accountability for and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, incident management and understanding of current laws and Company policies regarding workplace safety.Ensures health, safety and cleanliness of the work environment overseeing that inspection and maintenance of equipment is done on a standard basis.Carries out responsibility for the use of mechanized and computerized systems.Leads department in continual forward development through a thorough understanding of the business objectives and planned growth.Responsible for site maintenance through nominated contracted workers.Develop and implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation/storage or structural design.Plan, develop and implement warehouse safety programs and activities. Ensure proactive involvement in, accountability for and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, incident management and understanding of current laws and Company policies regarding workplace safety.Ensure compliance with quality systems, standard operating procedures, and current good manufacturing practices (GMP).Knowledge and understanding of federal and local OSHA safety regulations related to warehousing and shipping environments.Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate resource strategies to ensure that the work groups have the necessary capability to meet operational targets.Ensure training and staff development are current, relative and timely in accordance with established training standards and needs.Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated experience as a people leaderBachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, logistics, inventory management, business administration, or a related field.Requires a minimum of 10 years directly related experience in Distribution and/or Manufacturing to include a minimum of 5 years of management experience in a similar environment.Must have demonstrated experience in implementing inventory control systems, distribution operations programs and continuous improvement programs.Oracle experience a plus.Prior WMS experience, HighJump/Korber/similar system preferred.Preferred Qualifications:

Warehouse environment. Incumbent will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 40lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
