This role will be based in New Brunswick, NJ. The Senior Director, Transition Leader will lead business transitions, including integrations and separations, within Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This role involves collaborating with business leaders and leading global cross-functional teams responsible for completing transitions that achieve value goals while ensuring minimal disruption to customers, employees, and partners. Furthermore, this leader will contribute to improving transition capabilities and standardizing processes that drive transaction efficiencies and effectiveness. Additional responsibilities will include: + **Strategy Planning** **:** Develop and implement transition strategies to ensure seamless execution with minimal disruption to customers, employees, and partners. + **Due Diligence and Pre-Closing:** Provide leadership for transition-related due diligence and partner discussions, as well as in the development of transition-related agreements, e.g., Transition Services, Transition Manufacturing, etc. + **Cross-Functional Team Leadership:** Lead cross-functional teams across various departments and geographies to align and implement transition goals. + **Partner Engagement:** Communicate and collaborate with key partners, including executives, external partners, and senior leaders from acquired companies or buyers. You will be the primary point of contact on all transition-related strategies, processes, opportunities, and issues requiring outstanding communication and collaboration skills. + **Project Management:** Lead transition projects from planning to execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. + **Financial Oversight:** Lead transitions with a focus on ensuring expected value creation is achieved. + **Cultural Integration and Change Management:** Facilitate cultural alignment and change management initiatives to promote successful transitions. Lead organizational change initiatives to align teams and cultures across entities as needed. + **Performance Metrics** **:** Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure transition success. + **Risk Management:** Identify potential risks associated with the transition process and develop mitigation strategies. + **Compliance** **:** Ensure transitions align with relevant laws, company policies, and legal agreements. + **Post-Transaction Evaluation:** Assess the effectiveness of the transition process and recommend improvements for future M&A endeavors. **Qualifications:** + A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s level degree is preferred. + 10+ years of progressive multi-functional experience is required; MedTech/Healthcare experience is preferred and entrepreneurial or start-up experience is considered a strong plus. + Previous experience working in a business development function is preferred. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams and geographical locations. + Ability to prepare and present complex issues to Senior Leadership in a clear and concise manner. + Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to represent J&J to acquired companies and buyers of divested companies. + Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives effectively. + Strong intellectual curiosity and a deep passion for continuous learning.
