THE POSITION

\n\n

As a Senior Director Planning here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in strategizing the optimization of planning and ensuring efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include managing a Planning organization including Sr. Managers, Managers, Principals, and Leads. You will ensure the success of planning strategies and make sure operational efficiency is maximized. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

As the Senior Director of Global Planning, you are responsible for leading activities related to the demand planning, production planning, inventory control, material planning, within one division of the Energy and Sustainability Solutions (ESS) strategic business group.  You will be responsible for driving the 5 step S&OP

\n\n

 

\n\n

(ESIOP) activities for your business.  Planning works cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional excellence and continuous improvement. You are accountable for and lead multiple, highly complex global projects. You will continuously improve planning processes to drive better business results, build a world-class workforce that creates competitive advantage by hiring the right people, developing, coaching, and retaining top talent, and ensure the SIOP/S&OP/IBP processes are delivering at world-class levels to maximize revenue, reduce costs & inventory, and achieve top tier delivery performance for our customers.  You are responsible for all end-to-end planning activities including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Materials and Inventory Management as well as regional fulfillment activities

You will report directly to our Sr Director Planning Leader and you'll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ office on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the career development of your direct reports and the business operations at Honeywell. By effectively managing planning processes, optimizing operations, and cost management, you will improve customer satisfaction, minimize costs, and drive operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\n\n\tOversee and guide the planning function across multiple locations\n\tDevelop, implement, and ensure the success of strategic planning strategies\n\tAnalyze demand patterns and forecast future planning requirements\n\tOptimize operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence\n\tIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance planning\n\tProvide strategic guidance and mentorship to the planning team\n\tMonitor industry trends and implement best practices in planning\n\tPrepare and present planning reports to senior management\n\tLead team to meet or exceed key metrics, including business KPIs and supply chain metrics\n\tDevelop and optimize planning processes\n\tBe a thought leader and sponsor for the implementation of new planning tools & capabilities\n\tFacilitate the 5 step S&OP/IBP process for your business segment\n\tImprove Honeywell Accelerator maturity across all segments of your business\n\tMonitor demand, supply, and material requirement plans\n\tEnsure delivery of inventory targets, PFEP, and reduction of aged inventory\n\tDevelop capability of your team\n\tStreamline work through digital transformation\n\n\n

 

This\nposition is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named\nSolstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs.  This is expected to occur in late 2025 or\nearly 2026.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

\n\n\n\t8+ years of experience in planning or operations management\n\t8+ years of proven leadership skills with experience managing a planning organization\n\tProven S&OP experience leading Supply Chain organizations to deliver delivery, cost, and inventory performance\n\tGlobal end to end planning for Supply, Demand, Production\n\n\n

PREFERRED

\n\n\n\tBachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field\n\tExperience planning for Chemical and Continuous flow manufacturing\n\tExperience in broad managerial role leading multiple functions\n\tStrong project management and problem-solving skills\n\tProven results delivering innovative solutions to complex organizational problems\n\tExtensive influencing and collaboration skills with commercial business leaders\n\tExpertise on leading / driving change, and mentoring teams & peers\n\tExtensive experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Management and Materials Management\n\tPassion for driving continuous improvement/lean six sigma\n\tPassion for developing and coaching teams\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\n\tProficient in using planning software and tools\n\tExcellent communication and negotiation skills\n\tAbility to drive change and implement process improvements\n\tExperience in demand forecasting and operational optimization\n\tKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles\n\tStrong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities\n\tAbility to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities\n\tContinuous learning mindset and eagerness to stay updated with industry trends\n\n\n
